Bringing Back The Interest to Print ! When I look back 30 plus years I have been involved in the graphic arts industry I am amazed at how we have all let the interest slip in our high schools. When I applied for my first job as a press operator there were 10 of us after one position at this company. I was very proud to have been picked to work with all of the other craftsman at this company I respected. That excitement I had started back at my high school. It seems to me that it is the responsibility of all of us who are in this industry to bring it back to the high school level. Print is here to stay and there are great career opportunities for educated men and women. Most of us are so busy from day to day that we don’t think about why we keep at it. Well I can say that most of the time we love what we do. Let’s convey this message down to the younger generation by starting the awareness in high schools in our state.
